Snowman Bath For Kids

I am always looking for fun and affordable activities to do with my little guy Josh. Just recently I discovered a great blog that has fun bath activities for kids. Since we are in the midst of winter here the snowman bath was the first bath I tried with Josh and he LOVED it!!

I used double sided tape to apply cut out snowflakes from the Wal Mart Clearance department. Then I used Crayola Dry Erase Crayons to draw a simple snowman and write Josh's name (we are working on learning to recognize his name). I added a little Barbasol shaving cream that you can pick up for about $1. at most stores to the body.

While the bathtub was filling with water I added some blue McCormick's Food Coloring. You can adjust the color of the water by adding more if you want it darker, I wanted a lighter blue so it would like wintery. The food color does not stain skin or cling to the bathtub, it washes right down the drain when you empty the tub.

And to add to the winter theme I mixed up some "hot chocolate" for Josh. Just mix together some Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate and shaving cream by hand in a bowl and then put in a mug. Josh loved the smell and he "painted" with it on the walls.
