Revlon Spotlight Eyelash Curler

I love to try new products and when I spot something new I will usually purchase it and give it a try if the price is within reason. So when I saw this Revlon Spotlight Eyelash Curler at my local Wal Mart this weekend for $5.97 I thought why not give it a try. You push the red button and as you can see in the picture the eyelash curler lights up.

Here is a description from Revlon of this product and what it is supposed to do: Revlon’s Spotlight Eyelash Curler with LED Technology is foolproof for the perfect, pinch-free curl. Lighted head design allows a clear view to prevent pinching, while a double ridge bar helps to create a smooth curl.

And here is my experience with it: this product is cool looking and that is probably why I picked it up. While the light is a nice feature it really did not seem to make a difference as far as seeing better to curl my eyelashes. I did not care for the design too well, it has a wide head that is not flexible at all. With traditional eyelash curlers they are actually curved somewhat and fit against your eye, this product has a boxy head and is difficult to get in close to your eyelashes to really curl. One thing that might have affected my use of this product is the fact that I have small Asian eyes so it might work for some of you. And I really cannot complain about the price I was just excited and thought maybe this eyelash curler would do a better job than my traditional curler and that was not the case.

  2. It sounds great. If only I remembered to curl my eyelashes before I put on my mascara.

  3. Oh, wow, these look very nice!
I cannot go without curling my eyelashes, my lashes tend to be growing downwards and look so much better curled up!

  4. This does look bulky, and I agree with you about the light being a good selling point, but it's good to know that it doesn't curl better than the traditional curler. Thanks for your review!

  7. I bought it for $17 (AUD) before reading reviews. I am really disappointed! I want a refund but I don't think I can since I opened the package? - -" Never impulsively by make up/tools !!
